I'm the owner and sole photographer for Eyelluminate [eye-lluminate] Photography.
I celebrate dogs and their people because I believe in the human-animal bond and its power to comfort, heal, relax, and bring joy. I also believe it’s who we have, not what we have that matters and we should document the time we have with loved ones, including our pets. They aren't on this earth for as long as we are and it is important to honor their existence.
Photography is invaluable, not just for ourselves but for those that don't live near us anymore. If you are like me, you've moved around a lot in your life and your friends and family are near and far.
The memories and photographs I have of the people I have met and the places I have seen are priceless and I hold them near and dear to my heart.
We only get one life and the memories we have of our lives are irreplaceable. That is why I do what I do.
It is important to have photographs to awaken those memories for yourself and be able to share them with others.
Which is why it is important to print your photos! Give them a purpose beyond sharing them on social media. Fill your home with photographs of your life. Studies show that seeing family portraits boosts a child's self-esteem [source].
In my spare time, I go for long walks with my own dogs and take them to training classes in obedience and agility.
I have a B.A. in Journalism and an A.A.S. in Professional Photography.
Life is short and the world is wide.
Celebrate who you have when you have them!
